英語の勉強：People without Face Coverings could Face Fines

先週、買い物にでた３日前に、マスク着用が非常に厳しくなっていました。

マスクなしで入店しようとしたところ、店員さんに止められたのはこれが理由でした。

マスクや手洗いうがいくらいのことでしたら、とても簡単なことなので、積極的にしたらよいと思いますし、日本に比べると、衛生面に対しての感覚が低いので、よい機会のようにも思います。

４月２０日には、５月の先物の原油価格がニューヨーク市場ではマイナス圏に入るという歴史上はじめての事態も起こっています。日本はトレードのシステムが少し違うようで、ここまでにはならなかったそうですね。

英語のあとに、大体同じ内容が日本語で繰り返されます。

It was a recommendation, however, it is now a requirement to wear face coverings and social distancing for the businesses that are still in operation during stay-at-home orders in our area. 

Both the business providers as well as customers have to keep this practice, since the number of covid-19 cases has continued to increase. 

Violation of the practices can result in $500 fine, daily started April 13, 2020. Some areas are facing a fine of $1,000 per violation per day.

President Trump said on April 4th that he would not wear a face mask despite the CDC's recommendation.

I take his message as we must protect ourselves, however we should respect individualism, diversity, and freedom which are some of the values rooted in the history of the United States.
